Google has just announced The Google Chromebook, the notebook with Chrome OS. We’ve heard the nondescript Cr-48 Chrome OS Notebook first in December of 2010. But this time, it’s the one that will start its sell from June 15th 2011.

The Google Chrome OS notebook, Chromebook is similar to the Apple’s iPad. The computer runs with Google Chrome OS like Apple’s iOS. Many features and specifications were showed at Google I/O 2011.

“All Day Battery” it says which will have many built-in securities. This production version has Intel dual core CPU which will give better experiences than the CR-48. There are multiple connectivity methods that will even make it better. The external file storage was a bit problem in Cr-48 but now we can plug in memory cards or camera which will be automatically mounted by the OS.

The connectivity allows users of Chromebooks to easily access to their personal data. The file manager is similar to the modern file manager which features working in another tab like browser. You can also specify file types and their default applications.

You need not to always connect your Chromebooks as there are offline versions of Google products which will be embed into it. Like Gmail, Calendar and Docs which has been using by Google internally too.

The Google Company also stated that this product will get various updates every few weeks. The Chromebook seems great but its launching sounds like Beta Product.

For the hardware of the Chromebooks, Google has partnered with Samsung and Acer. For the 3G data connectivity, Verizon in US will be used. Outside US, other leading carriers will support the Chromebooks. Specifications of Samsung powered Chromebook includes 8 second boot with a battery of 8 hour. It has 12.1″ screen with 1280×800 display resolution. Automatically, the Chromebook is always connected. But for the Acer Chromebook, there is change in battery of 6.5 hour and screen size of 11.6″ screen.

For the price, the Samsung Wifi-only version will be available for $425 and $499 of the 3G model. The 3G model includes 100MB data service. The Acer price will cost higher than $349. The Google Chrome OS powered notebooks will hit the retailers on the date of June 15th from Best Buy and Amazon in US. In UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Germany, the leading retailers will do the selling.
