Sony Xperia Ion Ready To Hit AT&T On June 24th, Priced $99 With Two Year Contract

By Milan on June 14, 2012 | Leave a response

With fast trending market and large number of products being unveiled in regular interval, some products often remain out of sight. Sony Xperia Ion, well you might have forgotten about this one as it’s been nearly six months it was unveiled and still stores haven’t met the device. But the device no longer waits to hit the stores as it has been announced that AT&T is making the handset available from June 24th.

The LTE handset has been priced for $99 only and comes with a new two year contract. The price tag is certainly compelling and a bunch of worthy specs and features just prove the price too good. The device features 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality display. Powered up with 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, it has inbuilt storage of 16GB further expandable up to and additional 32GB with SD card.

In addition to these, the phone has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Exmor R sensor and  good 1,900mAh battery. However, the phone won’t be initially featured with Android ICS and will ship with Gingerbread 2.3.7. Well, it might not be completely true that the device won’t meet Ice Cream Sandwich.

So, with a very compelling price and a bunch of good features, it seems the phone will bring on quite good number of customers for AT&T.
