Mozilla’s Firefox OS for mobile, coming from 2013 in Sprint, Deutsche Telekom, ZTE, and More

FireFox Os Logo Mozilla has announced it’s open mobile operating system called Firefox OS which is based on open web standards running HTML5 based application. It was based on existing Mozilla’s “Boot to Gecko” project and is “fully open mobile ecosytem” which will eliminate current limitation and HTML5 app on mobile  and will support advance funtionality and can take full advantages of aspects of device such as gyroscope, camera or hardware acceleration. All the feature of phone such as calling, messaging, games, calender, gallery etc will be HTML5 based.

FireFox OS is believed to help in creating the lower cost smartphone through the optimization of HTML5 based platform. Also with the introduction of this open OS, it is expected to innovate and create opportunity on web for the user and developer.

FireFox OS is supported by the leading carrier company such as Telefonica, Sprint, Deutsche Telekom, Smart, Telecom Italia and Telenor. Also, TCL communications Technology (under the Alcatel One Touch Brand) and ZTE will manufacture the first FireFox Os device with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and some kind of chip in Samsung Galaxy SIII and the other specs are not revealed yet.

The first FireFox devices are expected to be released in early 2013 in Brazil through Telefónica’s commercial brand, Vivo and may come on other carrier in United States, Germany, Italy and Philippines month later.
