Apple is set to unveil the next generation of ‘iPhones’, yes two new iPhones this September, according to The Wall Street Journal. iPhone 5S is the high-end pricey version and the iPhone 5C is the cheaper one with plastic case having multiple colors. But its still not sure whether both of these devices would be launched together.
iPhone 5S which would be the high-end iPhone is also confirmed to get a new color, may be ‘Gold’ or ‘Champagne’.
Rumors are also there about the 128 GB iPhone 5S as it’s reference was found at a German retailer’s sales system by a reliable source. iPhone 5S 128 GB if there is may be available as an exclusive version of the device.
Another new thing about the iPhone this year is that it would get a built-in fingerprint sensor (for iPhone 5S). The fingerprint sensor might be built into the Home button as this report claims. 9to5Mac confirmed that UI for this feature is also ready for the system. This feature is likely since Apple acquired AuthenTec, the NFC and smart sensors maker.
We’re expecting the iPhone 5C unlocked to cost around $400-$500 and the price for iPhone 5S may be around $600-$700. However the price of cheaper iPhone will vary $200 to high-end iPhone 5S.
Although its called low-end cheap version of iPhone, the iPhone 5C may phase out and overtake the iPhone 5 in comparison to features and specifications.
Here’s expected detail specs of iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S compared:
|iPhone 5S||iPhone 5C (cheaper)|
|Smart Flash/Light Color||Yes/white & yellow||No/white|
|Casing/Color||Metal(3 colors)||Plastic & Fiberglass (6 colors)|
|Unlocked price (US$)||$600-$700||$400-$500|
