Apple released iOS 7.0.2 for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch – fixes lock screen security bug (Direct Download Links)


Apple has released iOS 7.0.2 which is available for download or update on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

It is considered to be an important iOS 7 update as it fixes a bug that allow anyone to bypass the lock screen passcode. The security hole was discovered just some hours after the launch of iOS 7. Apple released iOS 7.0.2 to fix that issue. So now there’s nothing to worry about the security of applications and user data due to that bug.

iOS 7.0.2 has also brought back Greek keyboard option for passcode entry.


iOS 7.0.2 is available as download for iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 5G, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPad 3 and iPad 2. iOS 7.0.2 IPSW firmware files direct download links are given below at the end.

To update iOS 7 to iOS 7.0.2, you can use OTA update feature or download the iOS firmware file and update via computer. For OTA update, go to Settings > General and tap on Software Update on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The update size is about 17-21 MB.

Apple had also released iOS 7.0.1 earlier but it was only for iPhone 5S devices as it was a fix for Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor.

But still we haven’t heard a word from Apple regarding the motion sickness issue caused by the iOS 7 animations. We might expect motion sickness animation fix on the next update.
